WELLINGTON LUX LIGHT FESTIVAL

Light Installation Proposal

4th Year Project

FOREcast is a group project proposing a light installation for the annual LUX Light Festival held in Wellington New Zealand. This light installation draws from a short poem located on site written by Alistair Te Ariki Campell. The concept focuses on creating a phenomenon effect for visitors and engage audience members to the poem visually through the medium of light which closely represents Wellingtons erratic weather.

Blue rain from a clear sky.
Our world a cube of sunlight –
but to the south
the violet admonition
of thunder.
