PORTFOLIO

I have recently completed studying Bachelors of Architecture at Unitec and am currently working full time at Ryman Healthcare as an Architectural Designer/Interior Designer. I have worked at Ryman full time for the past year following the completion of my Bachelors of Design with honours majoring in Spatial design at Massey University. 

 

At Ryman, i carry out concept design for various new/under construction common amenities within villages. Along with interior design, I review and amend the spatial planning of the village center with consideration to the overall aesthetic, practicality, and usability of the space. Furthermore, I carry out concept design for refurbishment projects, this consists of village center, town house and apartment refurbishments of Ryman’s 3 gold class villages. Included within my portfolio of refurbishments was the concept design of the main centre for Ryman’s most premium village Grace Joel. 

 

During my Spatial Design degree, I also studied Interior Architecture abroad at Nottingham Trent University, England in the School of Architecture, Design, and the Built Environment. Through this experience abroad, I was challenged to adapt quickly to new environments with a responsible attitude and a willingness to learn and further my skills.

 

Throughout university, my projects have reflected or have drawn from the environment they are situated in. I aim to transform social dynamics and atmosphere through design, whether it be public or private space. I believe that layout, lighting, and the potential of small detail can evoke thought or question; influencing how individuals interact with one another. I have a passion for architecture and design because it is a powerful tool in today’s society, and i am intrigued to design spaces that spark conversation and stimulate positive interaction with others.

Throughout my studies, I have become competent in the various software programmes listed below. I am most confident in Revit,  Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Indesign and Sketchup.
