ZAYED COLLEGE PAVILION
3rd Year BAS Group Project
This 4 week pavilion project was exhibited at the the Home Expo in Auckland 2020 and is now placed at Zayed College in Auckland and is now utilised by Primary School Students as a shelter.
This project required us to work as a group to design and fabricate a seating shelter for Zayed College. Only having 4 weeks from concept through to complete this was a quickfire design project that enabled the team to think of design solutions that were not only effective but hyper-efficient in assembly/building time.
Seeing as this pavilion is for primary school students, the interaction between the students as the pavilion was paramount to the design. The pavilion has multiple windows cut out of the exterior for visibility and two vision strips through the center of the pavilion; this creates a connection and interaction between the two spaces.
